Our Story

Hello and welcome to Meenakshi Varnam — a space where tradition meets trend, and every saree carries a part of my heart. I’m Saranya shanmugam, and this journey began with a simple dream: to share the beauty, elegance, and cultural richness of our sarees with the world.

This dream would never have come to life without the people closest to me. My husband Kali, who comes from a proud weaving family and grew up with the rhythmic thari sound echoing through his days, has been my constant source of strength and inspiration. My mother Ranganayaki, whose wisdom and warmth are woven into every decision I make. And my brother Muthu, whose encouragement and belief in me keep the fire burning bright.

All Our saree is priced affordably between £6–£30, keeping Indian tradition close to your heart, wherever you are.
